NED University has been one of the pioneer universities among higher educational institutes of Pakistan which has introduced community service course as mandatory in all undergraduates’ programmes since 2017. The basic philosophy is to inculcate following spirit among the students:
- To create a sense of social service, owing and contribution to communities around them.
- To creating bonding with the communities being served.
- To create enhanced social awareness and responsibility.
- To develop civic and social responsibility.
- Help to develop interpersonal, teamwork and leadership skills in students.
University’s community service programme covers both on and off campus activities. Some of them are highlighted below:

- Plantation and sustainability of green spaces
- Mosque management and services
- Creating Awareness for Traffic Rules in coordination with Traffic Police

- Counselling and spending time with children in developing areas, orphanages, special children facilities
- Spending time with women at female old age homes
- End-to-end iftar managements for commuters
- End-to-end management of blood donation camps
